🇪🇺 Designed for GDPR compliance

DPA available. Data within the EU only.

📍 Servers: Prague, Czech Republic

No data transfer outside the Czech Republic or the EU.

1. Data & Hosting

Physical server location: Prague, Czech Republic.

Operator: Jiří Horák, Registration ID (IČO) 64754103, Unhošť, Czech Republic.

Data transfer outside EU: none. All data remains in the Czech Republic.

Hosting infrastructure: all data is stored on a dedicated VPS server with a Czech hosting provider. No third-party cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.) are used.

2. Student Accounts

Students do not need an account, email address, or registration of any kind.

  • The teacher creates a board and shares the link (URL or QR code).
  • Students may contribute using a self-chosen display name. No real name or email address is required.
  • PinnyBinny intentionally minimizes collection of student personal data. No real names, email addresses, or student accounts are required. The only technical data recorded per post is the IP address (abuse prevention; see Data Retention).
  • Optional: teachers can set a board password or restrict anonymous posting.

3. How it works in the classroom

  1. Teacher creates a board — takes under a minute, no installation required.
  2. Share a link or QR code — students open it on any device.
  3. Students post without accounts — no login, no email, no registration.
  4. Teacher moderates in real time — approve, hide, or delete posts instantly.

4. Cookies

Logged-in teacher (account holder):

  • Session cookie for authentication (essential, functional).

Non-logged-in users (students):

  • Minimal session cookie for board session identification (technically necessary).
  • No third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

Statistics: PinnyBinny collects basic anonymous operational statistics without external tools. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no data sharing with third parties.

5. Data Retention

  • Board content: retained until the teacher/owner deletes the board. Upon deletion, content is removed without undue delay.
  • Account data (teacher): retained for the lifetime of the account. Deleted upon account cancellation.
  • Post IP addresses: retained for up to 1 week for abuse prevention and spam moderation, then automatically deleted.
  • Deletion requests: support@pinnybinny.com — we respond within 5 business days.

6. Security

  • HTTPS: all communication is encrypted; HTTP is automatically redirected to HTTPS.
  • Updates: the server and application receive regular security updates.
  • Data access: database access is restricted to the operator only. No third-party staff or subcontractors have access to board content.
  • Minimal data collection by design: the system does not collect more data than is strictly necessary for operation.

7. Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

PinnyBinny enters into a DPA implicitly with every user (school/teacher) pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.

Where is data physically stored?

Is a signed DPA available?
The DPA is concluded implicitly (by using the service). For schools that require a signed document, one is available on request — email support@pinnybinny.com.
Can students remain anonymous?

What cookies are placed on student devices?
Only technically necessary session cookies for the board. No tracking or advertising cookies. No third-party cookies (Google, Meta, etc.).
