Print Once, Teach Everywhere: Why I Created PinnyCards
I've always believed that classroom technology should solve problems—not create new ones.
Many digital teaching tools require student devices, accounts, passwords, or additional setup before the lesson can even begin. While these tools have their place, they aren't the right solution for every classroom.
Over time, I kept hearing the same thing from teachers. They wanted something much simpler. Something they could prepare once and use throughout the school year.
That's why I created PinnyCards.
A Different Approach
Instead of building another classroom app, I decided to build something almost every teacher already understands—printable response cards.
- No student accounts.
- No student devices.
- No complicated setup.
- Simply download the cards, print them, and start using them in class.
Sometimes, the simplest ideas turn out to be the most practical.
One Set of Cards. Multiple Classroom Tools.
One printable set works with multiple free classroom tools:
- 📊 Live Vote – collect answers from the whole class in seconds.
- 🎲 Fair Picker – randomly choose one of the visible students.
- 👥 Random Groups – create balanced student groups instantly.
The best part?
You only print the cards once.
The same set works with every tool.
Built for Every Classroom
Whether your school encourages digital learning or limits student phone use, PinnyCards are designed to fit naturally into your lessons. Only the teacher needs a phone. Students simply hold up their printed cards. There are no student logins, no personal data to enter, and nothing to install.
When You Need More
PinnyCards focuses on one thing: making classroom interaction as simple as possible.
When you're ready for more advanced classroom activities, PinnyBinny offers tools such as:
- Live quizzes
- Flashcards
- Word clouds
- Classroom boards
- AI quiz generation
- Collaborative learning activities
I designed both projects to complement each other.
Many teachers start with printable response cards and later discover that they can build entire interactive lessons with PinnyBinny.
Completely Free
PinnyCards is completely free.
