With respect to personal data contained in Board Content, PinnyBinny acts as a data processor. The User (e.g. teacher or school) acts as the data controller.

2. Scope of Processed Personal Data

Users

email address,
billing details (for paid plans),
technical login-related data (Magic Link).

Contributors

IP address,
technical metadata of posts,
post content (text, images, files).

3. Purposes of Processing

operation and functionality of the Service,
security and abuse prevention,
billing and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR),
compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR),
legitimate interests of the Operator (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR),
instructions of the Controller in the case of Board Content.

5. Data Retention Period

Personal data are stored for the duration of the user account or board existence. After termination, the data are deleted or anonymized without undue delay, unless retention is required by applicable law.

6. Subprocessors

The Operator uses verified subprocessors located in the EU only, in particular:

hosting providers,
cloud storage services,
payment gateways.

7. Rights of Data Subjects

Data subjects have the right to:

rectification of inaccurate data,
erasure of personal data,
restriction of processing,
data portability,
object to processing,
lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Where PinnyBinny acts as a data processor, data subject rights should be exercised primarily through the data controller, i.e. the User.

The Operator has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

The Operator reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy. Changes take effect upon publication on the Service’s website.

10. Cookies

The PinnyBinny service uses only technical cookies necessary for the proper operation of the service (e.g. user login, session security, form protection).

We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. These technical cookies do not require user consent.
